Nepali Community in Perth to Celebrate New Year 2082 with Grand Festival and 20 Years of NAWA’s Community Service
The Nepali Association of Western Australia NAWA Inc is proud to mark 20 years of unwavering service and contribution to the Nepali community in Western Australia with a grand New Year celebration on April 12, 2025, at Forrest Chase, CBD Perth, from 11 AM to 9 PM.
Since its establishment, NAWA has played a pivotal role in uniting the Nepali diaspora, promoting cultural heritage, supporting new migrants, and organising community-driven programs that foster inclusion and identity. The Nepali New Year 2082 Festival is a tribute to this two-decade-long commitment to empowerment, cultural preservation, and community wellbeing.
Presented by Basmati Grocery & Pokhara House, this family-friendly and free event features star performances by Nepali sensations Indira Joshi, Kali Prasad Baskota, and Rajiv Lohani. It also features multicultural performances, live music, kids’ activities, food stalls, and market stalls that celebrate the vibrancy of Nepalese culture.
The celebration is supported by the Embassy and Consulate of Nepal in Australia, with key partnerships including many others who share the vision of a united, thriving multicultural community.
